would you say the nvidia 9800 1g the best video card?

geforce 9800gx2 ($570) is top dog now (april 4) followed by
geforce 9880gtx ($330)
radeon hd 3870x2 ($400)
geforce 8800gts/512 ($240)
geforce 8800gt/512 ($200)
geforce 9600gt ($150), radeon hd 3870 ($180)
geforce 8800gs/384 ($130), radeon hd 3850/512 ($150)

nvidia is killing ati/amd in price performance.
