video card/multiple screen

I know that you can hook up t 2 monitor to one video card if the video card has 2 output, either in VGa or DVI. How do I hook up more than 2 monitor, like 4 and what kind of hardware or software do I need?

If I have 2 SLI card and link them together, do I have to connect to only 1 monitor or can I connect to more than 1 monitor at the same time?

you need another card to support more than 2 monitors

if you sli them together, you'll still be limited to 2 monitors since both cards will act as one. you can unlink the sli set to support 4 monitors, but you'll need to relink them to get the faster graphics for gaming.

if you only want 2 additional monitors, a cheap pci graphics card will suffice.
