video card

I want to change my video card from nVidia GeForce 9500 to something else. How
do I know which card will work in my Hp Pavilion Elite m9500y. My motherboard is MS-7548 (Aspen)useing Windows Vista 64.

Look at the specs to see what kind of interface it has. Most probably some PCI-E variant. Then, if your new card has that same interface, it should be compatible.

Hp says.
You have a mid-tower case................that's good.
Your mobo has a pcie x-16 slot..........that's good.
You have a 350w psu.........................that's iffy.


Where folks get bagged is not considering the power demands of a new gpu.
Unless you want to upgrade the psu I would recco.

Each should.....no guarantee.....work with that psu.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
