Most of the newer cards are for AGP slot. Some of the older motherboards only have the pci or isa slots.
The AGP slot is usually at the top and smaller than the pci slots.
Hope this helps.
I just bought a used NVIDIA GForce 2 Video Card for $20.00!
I'm ready to start playing some cool games, but the card won't fit in any of the expansion slots on my Motherboard. I have an old Compaq Presario, 400 MHz The video is an SiS, and it's on the board.
I don't know it all, but I'm very computer literate, and I've installed many video cards. I've never seen one like this though. I think I know the difference between PCI Cards and VESA local bus cards too.
Thanks for any advice.
PS Happy Holidays!
