Hi, would a video card that supports AGP8x work in a computer system that supports AGP4x? Or is it more involved than that?

If no concrete answer come, I would suggest go and buy it. If it doesn't fit, you can always return it.

If the power supply is big enough I never have an issue. You will find some confusion over 1.5V and more but if you read enough it all becomes clear there is no issue here.
