Please explain what you have tried so far. The first thing I would do is swap in a different monitor, just to make sure the monitor wasn't headed south. Borrow one if you have to. Even new one's can go bad.
Next, I'd visit the computer manufacturer's website and install the newest display/video driver for your machine.

I am having trouble with my monitor periodically 'blanking'. For no apparent reason the screen goes black and nothing seems to bring it back. Eventually, without any help from me, it returns. Does anyone have an idea as to why this occurs? I am at my wits end trying to remove this malady. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
I am using WinXPpro; have two hard drives; 768 Mb RAM; and use ZA Pro and Avast Pro.
