I'd find a better video editor like Sony Vegas which tends to keep such in sync.
Also, dump the DVD Camcorder and go back to miniDV and firewire so you can stop ripping.

I store mainly avi files on my PC, most ripped with Super DVD Ripper and XVid codec. I watch them in one of two ways:
1. Via wired ethernet to Pinnacle Showcenter 200
2. Buurned to DVD as avi file with Deepburner and played on Samsung HD850.
When played at first the video/audio are in perfect sync but,in either case, if I use the skip or ff/fr facility the sync goes completely. For example, if a gun is fired and a puff of smoke is seen, a full two seconds or so later the sound is heard.
What can I do to prevent it or adjust it? Please help! This ruins the enjoyment of everything else at superb quality.
