by golfixer / September 29, 2005 10:35 PM PDT

What do I need to add to my computer to feed my VHS tapes in and put them on CD's or DVD and what do I need to connect the VCR to the computer. I have XP, 2.2 Ghsz processor and 1Gb Ram. 4USB ports with 2 USB hubs.

I found an ARTEC DVD recorder for $129 then connected the VCR to the DVD recorder, put in a blank DVD+R, pressed the record button then the VCR play button. Cheap and fast transfers.

What you need is an anologue video capture card either internal or USB.
