vga output to tv setting

Jul 23, 2010 8:22AM PDT

System is compaq751 vista with intel GMA.What setting do I use for connecting the laptop to lcd tv?I got it to work fine but when I switch back to laptop it does not save my screen setting.I have to manually go to the settings screen and change it every time.Is this just the way it is?My laptop res is on 1280 but when the tv is connected it goes to 1024 and stays when I switch back again. It would be nice if it changed itself once I select laptop by using the hot keys.Hope this makes sense.thanks

Nope

Nope, sorry, many of us would love to have such a feature, but it doesn't exist currently in any program or OS that I am aware of. The closest there is, is X11 on *nix, which has the ability to cycle resolutions via keyboard shortcuts.

There are a lot of things you would think about Windows that would be flat wrong. This is just the first of way too many.
