VGA better than HDMI for PC to HDTV?

How come HDMI have way better picture quality than VGA when I connect from PC to a 1080p 55' HDTV? My PC resolution is 1920x1080p.

Is the clue in the HD?

High Definition.

VGA doesn't do that.

My HDMI setting is messed up, I fixed it and it's all good now. Thx
