Question

Very short range wifi extender / router

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a very short range wifi extender / router. I wish to put it in the attic and only want it to provide wifi to the upper floor of the house.

Sorry no.

What most folk do is to change the channels so the two hot spots are not overlapping.

Answer
solved it myself

I have purchased a Edimax BR-6258nL N150 Wireless Personal Hotspot & Travel Router
A small portable router (£20) so hopefully not that powerfull.
I can set the TX power lever to 1% and that should do it.
If I need to curb it more then I can sit it on a tub of water.
