very annoying

I opened a game on my desktop and the computer froze up. So I hit the "ctrl, alt, del" and restarted the computer, when it started back up, everything was huge, all of the icons, even the ones at the bottom of the screen, and the ones next to the time and date, you can't even make out what they are because they are so fuzzy. I went into the setting and display properties and nothing seemed to work, what else can i do?
