Question

Vertical lines (with picture) on Samsung LCD TV (model LN-T3

Sep 7, 2012 7:24AM PDT

I have a Samsung LCD TV that I bought in June 2007. Recently, I have found to intermittently get vertical lines on the screen. I have not been able to determine a constant for the lines (i.e. when first on, after it was on and then turned off for 30 min. and back on, etc.). I have read that it is the TCON card and this is easily replaced by anyone with some knowledge of electronics.

I have included a picture that can be viewed here:

Can someone confirm that it is the TCON card? I read that it could also be the Comcast cable box possibly.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Bad capacitors??

Apparently there was a class action due to faulty capacitors. Not Samsung's fault that a vendor of boards used inferior products but....

Sadly, if you missed this, you get screwed......
