What is the difference between these two versions of Win7 Home Premium.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I found out the GFC-00025 is sold outside the US but is susposed to be the same as GFC-00019. IT is the retail box version in both cases. Does anyone know how to contact Microsoft so I can see what the difference is? This is not a OEM product it is in a retail factory sealed box.

Time to contact Microsoft.

This conflicts with my research results.

But there are versions for countries. Can you help others by telling why you want one over the other and why you are looking at versions outside your country?

Bob how did you get your info about this version?

I ordered this retail boxed version off of a internet web site price guide via pricegrabber.com it was thru Trinity Software distribution.com. One of the cheepest I could find. I googled the part number GFC-00025 and it brought me up a list of internal sales companys outside the US Canada, UK etc. I checked with another web sales site in Canada and they are selline the same retail boxed software with the same part # GFC-00025. They advised me that this is Microsofts way of tracking software bought outside of the US. GFC-00019 if the part number sold in the US and GFC-00025 is part number sold outside the US. I tried checking with Microsoft but got no help.

That helped.

Let's end this that it's simply you hunting for the cheepest price and it's a retail copy.

Sounds great!
Bob

PS. I use google and modified searches such as site:www.microsoft.com etc.
