Hello. First post and not very technically inclined here, so my apologies if my question has an obvious answer.
Verizon apparently has the only reliable network for my town (spent 2 years cursing AT&T, and just sent back my T-Mobile phone after 5 days of no coverage). I don't care about texting, email, internet, just camera, music, and most importantly the phone. I have a slew of customized ringtones that I made (in MP3 format) that I wish to be able to use on whichever Verizon phone I wind up buying this week (probably the LG VX 8350).
Having read some prior posts, is it true that I won't be able to use my own MP3s as customized ringtones? I realize that I would have to buy the Music Essentials Kit in order to connect my phone to my laptop. I guess what I want to know is: If I have a Verizon phone, am I able to use my own MP3s for ringtones, and for listening to on the MP3 Player in the phone, or can I ONLY use ringtones and MP3s that I purchase through VCast?
Thank you for your help.
