verizon prepaid

Jun 13, 2005 2:37PM PDT

Is there anybody else here that uses verizon prepaid or works for verizon that can anwer this? I have been using it for about 5 or 6yrs. now and have been very happy with it until recently. First of all let me say I realize I should have paid attention when it said about needing minutes in a few days and I shouldn't have wiated until the last minute. I usually don't wait until the day of but I got busy with things. I was due to log in minutes June 8th or so I thought. I was going to call this time and tell them to put me on auto pay so they bill my credit card $15 each month and I don't have to remember to log the minutes on. In the past when you got close to expiration it would say your minutes will expire June 8th at midnight meaning on June 8th I had until midnight to add more. I am positive this is how it always was. A few months ago I got a message from them on the phone to punch some numbers in because they were updating the service or something. Now this time when it was getting close to logging on more mintues it said you have until June 8th at 12:01 to log on minutes but stupid me didn't realize about it saying 12:01 so this means I needed to do it June 7th so when I called on June 8th to log on minutes I found all my previous minutes gone and I had a lot of minutes. I just didn't realize it was worded different and I needed to do it June 7th. The rep told me that they expired at 2am so you only have a 2hr. grace period I guess and he had no answer on it being worded different. They wouldn't do anytihng about all the minutes I lost so now I am back at square one. I know it's my fault for not listening better on the wording but shouldn't they have told people it was going to be different? I feel like I was tricked into lossing my minutes on purpose. I realize this is not the best phone plan and I think eventually we are going to switch to a regular plan because my son is getting older and needs to call me for a ride from pracitce and such so we will need three phones on a plan but I didn't want to do it right that day until I check into plans so for now I bought some minutes to use.
