Verizon online dsl and PS2 help!!

Dec 10, 2006 1:57AM PST

I have just recently got Verizon online DSL and have been successful with getting wireless to work in my room on my laptop. However, recently I have tried to hook my dsl connection up to my ps2 and it does not work. The problem is the connection runs through my phone line so i have to put it in the plug with a normal phone line. but in doing that the ps2 reads the wire as a dial-up modem and of course there is no dial tone. When i put it in my ethernet connection, it also cannot find a connection. when i go to test the connection it always says that the connection attempt has timed out. I am very bad with this type of stuff and i would like to get my ps2 online as soon as possibe. If anyone would have any tips or information on how to fix this problem it would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you
