Verizon Cell Phones

Sep 27, 2004 4:23AM PDT

I have an old LG4400(?) phone and was looking to upgrade. I am looking for a phone that has mainly 2 features: 1)Speakerphone and 2)Camera.

I was looking at the Audiovox CDM 8900 but I have read numerous reviews where the audio quality is poor.

Can anyone help me out?

If you need a tri-mode phone with a camera, only Motorola and Audiovox have tri-mode camera phones with speakerphone. If digital only phones work for you, look at Samsung. Samsung usually makes reliable phones. While I didn't get a camera phone, I'm overall happy with my phone because of call quality and that it's tri-mode. Tri-mode was the main feature I needed, and it be a flip phone. Maybe people on here could help you out better than I can, but definitely look at Samsung if you don't care if the phone is all-digital.

My wife has this phone and she is very happy with it. She is very impressed with the phone. It's one of the few phones that offer speaker phone. I recommend this phone. The camera features are okay, let's face it the camera quality on any phone is not going to match a real camera. She has no complaints about the sound quality. I personally have the Motorola V710 and so far am please with it. It's pricer than the Audiovox. You can should go to an actual Verizon store to test them. They usually have some models that are activated so you can make calls out to test.

So what do you actually think of it? How does it compare to the LG 6100?
