No phone (not counting PDA Phones) available
by dave1973 / February 8, 2006 10:51 AM PST

Verizon doesn't offer a single bluetooth phone without a camera, as far as a regular cellphone. In fact, about the only way you'll get a phone without a camera is to get a basic phone. The only way you can have a bluetooth without a camera is to buy a basic phone, then get a Jabra A210 adapter, that plugs into your 2.5mm earpiece jack, and get any bluetooth headset you desire. That's the closest way you'll get to having a bluetooth phone. I wish there was a CDMA version of the Cingular Samsung SGH-D307 qwerty keyboard phone for Verizon. That phone has some features I want, including bluetooth, but without a camera. The only other option is if you want a PDA phone. That will be the only other way you'll get around getting a phone without a camera. I personally wish phones wouldn't have cameras on them. I don't mind an mp3 player built into it, but trying to make a an all in one phone is getting ridiculous. Cellphone makers are marketing these phones to the under 30 crowd, and probably under 20 crowd, and I'm over 30. If phones could be custom made, I would go that route. Yeah, it would be more expensive, but I'd rather have the features I want, and not what the manufacturers & wireless carriers force down our throats.

(NT) does anyone else?
by presmmbb / February 9, 2006 12:09 AM PST

I am in NYC, does anyone else offer a phone with bluetooth w/o a camera that has good service?

I am with Sprint now, but am unsure if I want to keep them... I have heard too many horror stories about Cingular and T-mobile... What does that leave me with?

MY cell phone is my business and I cannot afford to have it hang up on my clients all the time (I understand that it is a cell phone) I need reliability and functionality.

Thanks in advance...

The only business wireless service is nextel who has joined sprint. Don't go to Verizon, they cater to teene boppers. very reliable network, but they want to get the money for picture messaging, downloading music, text messaging and watching TV on the phone. With their choice of phones, they only have high end phones for the business person. i have been with Verizon since they were GTE. In order to get a good phone with bluetooth and voice dial it costs 500 bucks. when this contract is up, if Verizon doesn't start respecting the business person, hello somebody else.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
