I've seen some pretty adept wheelchair "drivers," in particular the ones who participate in athletics. Those guys can do some amazing feats!

Partisan frenzy overtook the Commons health committee Thursday as Conservative health critic Steven Fletcher, who is confined to a wheelchair, invited Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh to "take this outside."
"Your party leader wants to commodify health care," the minister charged.
Fletcher retorted that the Canada Health Act already allows for private health care, and that the majority of doctors' offices are private businesses, yet the Liberals suggest that "somehow private delivery of health care is evil."
After further mutual interruptions, Fletcher snapped: "If you'd like to take this outside, I'd be happy to."
Although Fletcher is an imposing six-foot-four, he is also quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down since his car hit a moose in Manitoba almost nine years ago.
"I'm not a physical kind of guy," said Dosanjh, to laughter.
"Neither am I," said Fletcher. "Don't be shocked if you have any tire marks."
