Sadly I find these to create issues, not fix them.
Try a clean install of the OS then install Vegas from the original media. It always works for me here.
There is that pirate version of Vegas going around here and a buddy has had no end of trouble but what did they expect from that?

Hi, im a bit frustrated!.
Vegas 11 HD platinum will reinstall and startup, Vegas Pro 10 will reinstall and startup
But as soon i reinstall Vegas 11 Pro who contains my large projects that must off course
be incompatible with every other Vegas edition will fail
like this every time.

I have off course applied this advice to uninstall first.
https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4844/kw/uninstall
(the only thing i have skipped is removing visual++ and net framework uninstall, because
i dont think its crucial for the outcome, but if you recommend it personally i will off course)
+ i have 3 auto registry cleaner i use afterwards for safety's sake.
So my conclusion os must be some more key leftover/disturbing programs/new computer settings
that prevent it from solving it?.
If i use my license or the latest trial version doesn't fix it either,
it seems my windows installation have developed overall allergic to the Pro 11 program code.
I even uninstalled with "Your Uninstaller" who kills further leftovers before i started to manually kill folders from the complete uninstall instructions
Yes i have tested uninstalling Platinum also, and switched their both reinstall order just to test.
One other disturbing detail is that Vegas 10 alone have started to refuse to install
"Shared Plugins" folder, it simply missing upon installation complete. I i recall it
right Vegas 10 Pro when i compared didn't either install Shared-Plugins! but it still
started up for some reason, isnt that a mystery?. But I cant get it out of my head that
11 pro stil could crash cause it cant' locate the plugins?.
Any suggestion how i can prevent myself from reinstalling Windows 7 (x64) wery soon
.
I bett if i reinstall windows, Vegas 11 will still neither install shared-plugin and stop
crash for whatever reason. So its a negative odds gambling i gotta perform
Is there anything i can still test before this scenario?.
Thanks in advance
