Situation: Someone sent me two vector based .eps files - one created in Freehand and the other in Illustrator. Both these images were "free floating" i.e. they did not have white backgrounds. I saved these files to a CD and passed the images on to a TV production crew. When the image from the CD was displayed on TV, it had a white background. This wasn't good.
Question: If someone creates an .eps in freehand or illustrator and sends to me in an email and I simply save those files to a cd - will the images be compromised at all? Can anyone explain what happened?
