Question

vcr/dvd won's communicate with pc

by ambrosias621 / October 13, 2016 9:36 AM PDT

I have a new Dell pc and a new Toshiba DVR620KU. I am trying to use my DVR with my pc but cannot get them to communicate. The HDMI hookup does not work. I purchased an RCA to USB cord and connected them with it. It is as though the VCR does not exist. My pc does not even recognize it is there. Any suggestions?

They tell me my dvd/vcr does not have the inner workings because the s-video and hdmi are both output - on my player and my pc. I don't understand why the rca to usb connection will not work when the player is output and the pc is input. Any suggestions?

You want to record from your PC...or the reverse? Did you get a "converter" or just an adapter? what model is it?

But I can't guess what you are trying to do. (nod to oldartq.)

If you bought some rca to usb, everyone would be guessing what it is.
