Question

Various Windows Live Mesh connections

Jan 23, 2012 7:42PM PST

Hi,
I have just went to uninstall a program in programs and features and noticed a whole bunch of Windows Live Mesh ActiveX controls.
Theye were all installed on the same day and are of all the same size 5.37Mb and version 15.4.5722.2.
I was concerned as they are all in different languages in the program name.
E.g Ovladaci prvek Active X Palatformy
and Urruneko konexioetarako
and ones I can not even type.
Should I be worried?
I am on Windows 7
I am not overly technical but if you need a screen grab or other info I can let you have.
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks
Richard

Windows Live Mesh

"With Windows Live Mesh and the Devices website, you can keep up-to-date copies of documents, photos, and other files on all of your computers, whether PC or Mac. Sync your folders to the 5 GB of free storage space you get with SkyDrive, and work your files on the web from any computer. Run programs and browse all the files on your PC from anywhere by connecting remotely. And keep your favorites in Internet Explorer and your Microsoft Office settings up to date on all of your PCs by syncing your program settings. Here's how to do all of this in Windows Live Mesh".

It looks like this is software for Syncing to other devices. Does that sound right to you and have you installed Windows Live Mesh to sync to other computers?

Windows Live Mesh needs ActiveX controls installed, but I can't say about the list you can see. I got a web site for E.g Ovladaci prvek Active X Palatformy at;
http:// www. radarsync. com/software/s219367-ovl%C3%A1dac%C3%AD_prvek_activex_platformy_windows_live_mesh_pro_vzd%C3%A1len%C3%A1_p%C5%99ipojen%C3%AD

I've disabled that link as I would not want you to go there without knowing what you are doing, but that site appears to be involved with "RadarSync as well, their home page, which is safe, is at http://www.radarsync.com/

Does RadarSync ring any bell with you?

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply. I do not access files on my PC from anywhere else. I may have setup Skydrive. I have noticed that Windows Live Essentials 2011 was installed on the same day. It just seems that the extra programs are not quite right. Some are in what looks like Chinese lettering and some in Greek and some like aribic(ish)
