Question

Vacation with no wifi--Tech for Dummies?

Jul 20, 2015 3:32PM PDT

The beach condo that we have rented for the week does not have wifi access. I've only had a laptop for about a month and wouldn't think of going away for a week without it. I know there's a simple solution to this little problem but I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing. So, how do I get internet access on my laptop in the condo that does not have wifi? Ethernet cord?

Answer
For the cord it has to go to some ISP service.

You didn't reveal what area but my mom uses a Netzero hotspot. 15 bucks a month no contract.

Here I use Ting's service. So there are so many cellular data solutions that can fill the void.
