Jul 21, 2005 4:21AM PDT

Hello,

Has anybody seen the shop at home tv net.
I was curious about the new plasma tv they offer.
Does someone know about this new tech.
The tv is made by Hisense thru Samsung.
How good is it.

Thanks

To Hisense or not to Hisense, that is the question.
Jul 21, 2005 7:46AM PDT

Hello,

I checked out Hisense's website. Had a very hard time navigating their site. The first thing I looked at was their support section. I wanted to see user guides I could download to investigate their products. I found nothing. I tried to look at their products. I found nothing.

A company is as good as its support. At this time, I would not feel comfortable spending $1000 or more on their product.

That's just my opinion and has nothing to do with the quality of their product, just how comfortable I am with them at this time.

Hope that helps.

Take Care,

Don't trust everything said if the commercial
Jul 27, 2005 6:42AM PDT

I saw the same commercial, and the technology seemed very interesting. BUT, I check the shop at home website because I like to see everything in writing. They do not mention anything about the V3 technology, nor the 50,000+ hours of useful life. I also visited the HiSense website. They do not mentioned it either.

In my opinion, if a had a technology that made plasmas more comparable to LCDs in terms of useful life you can be sure it would be mention as a key feature every single time possible. Therefore, I do not trust everything said in the commercial.

Hi everyone.

I thank you for your response about this tv.
But after further review this is not the new
10801 or1080p tech. now being sold.

So how can this be the newest when the resolutions
is only 1024/728

Where the new 1080i is 1280/728 resolutions

Still have questions about which is better

Yes I purchase the flat panel hdtv from shop@hometv
Aug 12, 2005 12:38PM PDT

I am very impress with the TV's Vibirant Colors and crystal picture. This is my second flat Panel tv that's on my Direct TV HD sysytem. I must say this technology is different from my Sony LCD Screen which has a great picture as well, but the reason I brought this set was the advertisement of the long life, time will only tell. So far, So good, a Great picture 9 out 10 easy. Also it has very good connection for most devices.
