I'd ask them to add this for you if you can't. You may encounter techs that can't and older techs with more know how.
There's always another way. Maybe add your own ringer to the doorbell button.
I have a Vivint security system, which includes a wireless doorbell camera. I know the doorbell uses wifi to send a signal to the control panel whenever anyone rings the doorbell. I would like to add notification in a very noisy basement, where we can't hear the doorbell at this time. If I know the IP address of the doorbell, is is possible to intercept or catch this signal and use it on something like a sonoff wifi device? I would then add a strobe light to notify us even when it's noisy. Or, does anyone have another method they could suggest?
