General discussion

Using Windows XP, 'add products' on CNET gives me errors.

Jul 12, 2007 8:34AM PDT

First of all, I like to appologize if this is posted in the wrong section. I couldn't figure out where this would fit into.

Using IE7 in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with SP2.

Whenever I try to add a product using the "Add Product" feature (with the "want it"/"got it" buttons), it would redirect me to the CNET "Page not found" page. I am updated to the latest Flash Player, Javascript is ON, all CNET websites are in my safe list, deleted cookies and temperary internet files (and re-loged in) and I turned off my pop-up blocker temporarly.

I have already contacted CNET using e-mail, and all of the suggestions has not helped me. Therefore the person who helped me suggested posting in CNET forums.

Thanks for all the help, and sorry once again if this is the wrong section to post in.

I'm not sure which CNET web page you are having difficulty getting into.

Can you supply the web page address, (url)?

Thanks.

and he will have the technicians look at this. Please be patient, it is the weekend. Most businesses only have an emergency staff on. I'm sure they'll work on this Monday morning.

Thank you,

I have found out that when you click the "add product" with the scroll-wheel on the mouse, the list would open. To select an option, you would do the same.

As you have probably have known, the scroll-wheel click is "open link in a new tab" in IE7 by default (I'm using the default). Each time I do that, a new tab opens titled "(blank)" (browser message, not CNET). However, if you right click on it and select "open link in a new tab" manually, the list does not drop down.
