They still worked. I just tested my Asus with my chin and it's 2016 model which took a little learning on my part.
But the last time I encountered someone that needed this the assistant technology person installed a chin pad that looked like what we see at http://www.ergonomictouchpad.com/ and http://www.handsfreetouchpad.com/
Background: physically challenged, can´t use the touchpad with my fingers. Have therefore been using it with my chin since 2008.
The issue now however is, that the laptops of nowadays do not allow the touchpad to be used with my chin to move the mouse - which wasn´t an issue with the laptops of years ago: I´ve had an HP and a couple of Samsung devices and it was never a problem with any of them. I´m clinging onto Samsung R719 since nine years now as, again, buying a new one isn´t an option. The Stone Age ancient device that I´m using of course is outdated, amazingly slow and might one day just run out of luck, but it remains my only option for the time being, sadly.
So my question is, wherein exactly lies the difference in the touchpads of laptops nowadays and of those from years ago? Someone that I know is of the opinion that it´s the multitouch system that the older touchpads used to have that would allow it to be used with the chin(?).
The even more important question is, is there any model from the current laptops that allow them to be used with the chin?
