No to the question about quality reduction. But the sharing is well, tedious to setup at times. Plugging a HDD into the router is certainly a way to do this.
As to getting readyshare, that should be in the product manual. Which PDF are you reading so I can read along?
So I want to store my dvd and bluray rips somehow and be able to easily access them on multiple media players in my home.
What wouldbe the best way of going about this using readyshare on my r7000 router? Plugging a external harddrive into the router?
Lets say I chose that option. Does readyshare degrade the quality of audio or video in anyway? Or will I get the native file outputs? I dont want my 1080p to be condensed down to 720p is pretty much what Im saying.
