The cost of such convertors and cables cost more than a 19 inch HDTV or Monitor.
I have an LG L192WS monitor, but it has only got a VGA port. It doesn't support HDCP, so I can't use an HDMI to VGA converter (as far as I know). I heard, that the PS3 doesn't have HDCP when using component cables, so I would like to know if the following is possible:
PS3 -> component cables (720p) -> component to HDMI converter -> HDMI cable -> HDMI to VGA converter -> VGA cable -> monitor
I am aware that it is a bit complicated, but since it's almost impossible to find component to VGA converters (and even if you can find one they cost a lot of money, more than this setup) this is the only method that I could think of, but I am not 100% sure that it will really work, because I don't know, if the component to HDMI converter can put HDCP on the signal.
Thanks in advance!
