Using Power Cord with Another Model Hard Drive

Nov 9, 2010 4:37AM PST

I am missing part of the power cord (it's a cord with 2 segments) for a Lacie external drive. I'm missing the segment that goes to the wall. My other model external hard drive has a power cord that looks like it will fit the power adapter for the Lacie. Do you think it's safe for the data on the Lacie to try this?
Thank you

That cord that connects the AC power to the supply brick is interchangeable 99.99999% of the time.

yeah... but it's that .000001% that you worry about, right?
