At our office all internet accesses are logged by IP address, date, time and such. But why not just ask them?

In my office, I plug my laptop into the Ethernet hub of the work desktop to gain broadband internet connection. I never use the work PC for personal use. I do use my laptop to surf the net, work on personal files on my harddrive, edit photos, download some files at times and send and receive Email. Question is, will the employer IT have access or record of what I do on my laptop?
