General discussion

using older Dazzle Fusion on win xp home

Jan 9, 2006 3:22AM PST

Don't know which forum best for this question, but DAZZLE connects to the CamCorder, so here goes.

Does anyone know if DAZZLE FUSION (about 3 years old) will work on XP home?

No model number on it, it has Video In, S-Video In, L & R Audio In and 5v pwr supply on one side, and plug in for 4 different memory cards on the other end.

It has a USB plug, (I assume it is for USB1), will plugging in to USB 2, be a problem?

I want to record VHS tapes to DVD. VCR has S video output.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Ben

On one PC I have a 5 year old Dazzle USB capture device works great in XP SP2, just get the drivers.
In the setup one of settings is bandwidth, I set it for highest bandwidth. John

Using Dazzle Fusion
Jan 21, 2006 2:32AM PST

The dazzle Fusion works with both usb1 and usb2. I use Moviestar5 (with the update software 5.3.0.25) to captre, edit and produce movies. Hook up the analog camcorder or VCR and the dazzle will do the trick. The s video from the camcorder to the dazzle; the audio from the camcorder to the dazzle with the Dazzle hooked up the Usb of your computer.

I run win xp sp2 on an amd athlon64 3200+

Good luck!

Pinnacle now owns Dazzle.

Dazzle Fusion (continued)

Just to mention that the Dazzle Fusion that I was referring to in my message of this morning, is the same as the one you own. S video, rca audio output, USB out with multi card reader.

As previously stated, it works great with a good capture and editing program. (Moviestar5 is bundled with the Dazzle)
