Using netbook sleeve

by bruceberman / January 31, 2009 12:10 AM PST

I ordered and received a neoprene netbook sleeve compatible
with my Acer Aspire One 8.9" netbook with 6 cell battery.
Does anyone know which end of the Acer goes in first?
Also, there is a small lip or flap at the open end of the sleeve.
Is one end of the Acer supposed to reside under it?
Sorry if I sound stupid . . . maybe I am.

What, no instructions with it??

Who needs instructions anyway. My rule of thumb is to protect the battery side. I'd put it in the case in such a way that the battery isn't going to be used to pull it out. For the laptop in my case, I put it in with the battery side up so as not to have it need to absorb the weight of the rest of the laptop when I plunk it down. I don't know if that helps but, to me, it makes reasonable common sense.
