Using my PC monitor as my TV

Dec 20, 2003 8:51AM PST

I noticed that the video quality on my computer's moniter is much better than my TV's. Does anyone know of an adapter or anything that can connect somthing like a Playstation 2 or DVD player to my computer's moniter?

It's cheaper to just buy a DVD-ROM drive and maybe some software then to get a device that would allow you to connect a stand alone player, not to mention easier. Later on if you wish, you can add something like an ATI Remote Wonder remote control.

As for the PS2, you won't gain anything by hooking it to your monitor. The games are designed specifically for the resolution of a TV, either NTSC (US and Japan) or PAL (pretty much everyone else). They will run at that one fixed resolution, no matter what you do to your computer monitor.
