Using my 40" Tv as a PC monitor, how do i do it?

Sep 12, 2006 8:31PM PDT

Hi all, i hope somone replies...i want to use my samsung TV which has the right inputs at the back as a monitor, my pc is 12 meters away, whats best? do i use a long cable which may reduce the picture quality, or do i get one of those media extenders, which i thought was only for watching films and listening to music...? i have just bought a microsoft wireless keyboard, which you can use to sit at the sofa, and browse the net, my point is that if im watching TV i dont want to leave the sofa to go and check my email in another room, i have all the apparent capabilities here, its just the technical stuff im lost on...Im running XP, so what i want to know is = do ibuy a super long Monitor Cable or do i buy Media Extender?
Thanks Kindly
Jeff
