using monitor to watch network tv

Mar 6, 2018 3:46PM PST

I bought an NEC monitor with wifi/smart capability but no tv tuner. How can I use it to watch regular local and network tv?

I do have wifi. The monitor doesn't have a tv tuner but is supposedly (per seller) wifi capable. They said it has smart tv capabilities but without an internal tv tuner. I have one of those old digital tv converter boxes (converts from analog to digital) but I don't know if I can use it to receive my local tv stations on the monitor.

If so, then maybe the convertor will work with it.
