Using Lotus Notes with Zire 31

Jul 3, 2005 9:42PM PDT

An important criterion for me in the purchase of a PDA is to be able to read downloaded Lotus Notes email. I am thinking of purchasing a Zire 31. Will this work, what is the additional software I need for this and the cost? Am I better off buying a different PDA for this purpose?

Also, I read that the battery cannot be user-replaced? How much of a problem does this become?

From memory, it's not included (hotsync to Lotus Notes.) The Lotus Notes vendor (where you got your software) should be in the know about what is required. Last time it cost about 200 bucks for the conduit. That's all I remember.

Other PDAs incur about the same fee for the sync software. So it doesn't seem to matter.

This is the only software that I found for Lotus Notes. It's around $79.00. You can purchase the light version that is specific to the PDA you buy and save around $30. Hope it helps!
