There were a few laptops with video inputs but the model you listed does not have that feature so software must be used.
Why not just get a cheap second monitor?
I'm looking to extend the display on my work computer and ideally want to use a second laptop to do so.
My reason for using a laptop as opposed to a portable monitor is that I frequently need to use OCR and web analysis tools for my job that my employer won't let me install on the company computer. Thus it would be helpful to have a second, personal computer to complete this type of work while I'm on the road and away from my personal desktop at home.
This is also why i'm looking for a solution that doesn't require that I install software on my current work computer, a Lenovo Yoga laptop.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm looking for a new laptop or hardware to achieve this.
