using contacts feature in Outlook Express

On my 98 in Outlook Express, there is a contact listing feature in the lower left corner of the OE window where one can click on an address and an email opens with that addressee already entered.

On my XP in Outlook Express there is no contact listing in the same area and am not sure how to create it. I have to always access the address book to find an addressee. Have searched around in various help areas but so far no luck in finding how to use this easy feature. Can help?

Thanks Larry and Glen - you both hit the nail right on the head - have been able to access contacts now.

Nondaj, I have this feature in XP/OE. Do this in Outlook Express:

View | Layout | See if "Contacts" is checked in the Basic section. Mine has everything checked except "Outlook". In the bottom section Preview Pane I have unchecked "Show preview pane". You may need to experiment to see if the contacts list shows with or without the preview pane. I unchecked the preview pane for security reasons.

Best of luck. Hope this helps.

Glenn
