Question

Using A/V receiver in 2 channel stereo mode

May 28, 2013 11:01AM PDT

Hello all:

I recently acquired a Yamaha RXv595 A/V receiver.
These were very popular in the late 1990's and early 2000's.
I want to use this receiver in a standard 2 channel
stereo mode.I would like to hear any advice or suggestions regarding doing this generally or with this specific unit.

I will be using 6 ohm speakers (Kefs).

Any advice, experience would be appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

Should be straight forward

Connect your two speakers to the Right & Left connectors in back, then adjust the receiver to utilize 'stereo' mode, instead of 'surround', etc..

Done.

All the answers you seek are available in an online manual. The settings for 2-ch stereo and impedence settings are covered there.
