using 20" iMac as 2nd monitor for iBook G3

Jul 14, 2007 12:43AM PDT

Hi-not sure if this can be done. I want to hook up my iBook G3 (2001) to my new 20" iMac to enjoy the larger screen. Questions: 1) is this possible? 2) will I get the same size picture (small) on the bigger iMac (mirror?) 3) has anyone else done this with success? Thanks in advance for any info

Is the iMac dead?

You can research VNC as a means to extend screens but as the iMac has to video connector to input your iBook signals one would have to hack the iMac to add such to turn it into a display.

Is the iMac dead and available for hacking?
