Let's go with 802.11g. It's 54 megabits a second so that it usually greater than most internet connections.
So adding a second router won't add any speed as WiFi, even at 802.11g is faster by many times the usual internet connection.
I don't have the fastest internet, because we live in a very small town in the middle of nowhere. I have 2 xboxes, 2 laptops, and numerous phones hooked up to my wifi, if I were to use 2 routers would it help? And also do both of them have to be hooked up to an ethernet outlet or can the main one be hooked up and the second one just plugged in to an electrical outlet in a different room? Thanks
