Nov 19, 2003 9:19AM PST

Hi
I have used this site for many years. Here is one for all of you. This is User Inflicted and I don't know how to unwind it. I am running Windows 2000 PRO based on NT. This evening, I dont't know how, I deleted my ICON that gets me back to my 'Desk Top'. The Icon looks like a little 'Desk Top' Does any one know how to retrieve the little guy? Bob P. If you are going to help me, How are you doing?

Mike, I would have thought that too. Some how, I deleted the file and just now got off the phone with Dell. Here is how I reestablished the file and it might help others. Go to www.microsoft.com
In the Search Microsoft.com box put the following:
190355 then GO
this will show you 'How to Re-create the Show Desktop Icon on Quick Launch Toolbar. It is so simple need to rewrite to the WINNT/SYS32 FILE THE LITTLE ROUTINE. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. THIS IS FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO MIGHT HAVE HAD OR MIGHT IN THE FUTURE HAVE THIS PROBLEM..
