User can not access search links

by panama43 / May 4, 2006 9:04 PM PDT

Users can not access search links, this is a family PC and I have 4 users on my PC, 3 of them are for the family, the one left I have is just for guest, all of them use IE-7 beta 2 but for some reason i'm the only one which can use all of IE-7's functions, the built in search engine at the top right hand side I can use but no one else can, I use Windows Live as my home page as do some of the other uses use as well but the search engine on the page lets them search okay but when they go to click on the search link nothing :S, the web link address comes up in the status bar at the bottom when I hover the mouse over it, I have even tried to open the link in another tab/window, I just get a blank page with nothing in the address bar.
They can use firefox ver.1.5.0.3 alright, but recently thats been going south too with a VPN error :s
Copying & pasteing or physically typeing the address in the address bar the http results is the only way to get to that web site.
Then just to be a pain all the links in that site work!
Is there a setting is XP pro or in IE-7 that will fix this pain of a problem?
And by the way it was also happening in IE-6 too, they were useing Mozilla and didn't bother to tell me when this problem with IE started! :s

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
