log into the ADMINISTRATOR account and see what might be the problem with your user account.
It might be corrupt in which case you simply create a new one and take posession of and transfer your files, etc. from the old user account.

I have a preinstalled Windows XP Home 2002 build 2600 with SP2 , installed. The computer is a Pentium 4 with 2Mg Ram (of which about 40% is being used).
My problem is that I am unable to get to my User Account via the Control Panel---in fact I cannot get to it at all. I am not sure what I have done but would appreciate some advise of how to unlock it.
