Have you tried Todoist or Wunderlist? Both are really great scheduling tools. Oh, Google calendar does the same job, too.
I have some tasks which I need to complete at work on a Weekly, Monthly, Bi-Monthly and Annual basis which ideally need to be set up once and then applied to multiple weeks / months / 2 month periods / years automatically (although I can take the hit of manually having to create each task).
I would also like to track whether certain subtasks of these major tasks have been completed e.g Create Weekly report requires completing: a "refining" stage; an "updating" stage and an "upload" stage (these can each be done at any stage). This is just a simple example as I have others which have 10 sub tasks, but for this example I would like to have a way to select something to say "I have completed the upload" or a tickbox etc so that I can track the progress. It would be nice if this could also give me a percentage completed (or if I could manually add it).
What pieces of software / webapps which are free can enable me to do this?
Ideally free, but I would appreciate any suggestions so I can make sure I consider everything that can meet my needs.
I have tried droptask.com and this is pretty much 90% of what I need, but when I set the task to 100% completed, the bubble disappears and gets deleted from the task list. I would like to be able to see all the tasks I have set myself for the period in their completed and uncompleted stages. I can always recreate another task bubble to replace the completed task, but when I have lots of tasks to complete, it means I have a lot of bubbles to recreate.
