I have an eMachines and an HP computer, IE7 wont finish installing on either of them. I will stick with Firefox.
I had downloaded the Beta version and really, really like what I saw. Everything worked well, the phishing, the tabs, easier access to internet options, faster searches, etc. Really, Really liked it then:
Received update notification to download the new version of 7 and started the download process. My computer froze and nothing, absolutely nothing worked. I contacted Microsoft tech support and spoke with a fellow from "India" (we definitely had a language barrier) and after being put on hold umteen million times, he transferred me over to the Windows XP tech support in Newfoundland, Canada. He at least was able to help me get my system running although not stable. The installation of the new IE7 had corrupted some of internet settings and there was no way that we could get it working properly. He suggested I get a copy of IE6 from someone and download the program from disk. Unfortunately, no one that I know had said copy and as a result I had to do a clean system reboot. So I started everything over from scratch and am now using IE6. Kind of hard going back to the "old" ways but at least my system works well.
I would definitely download the IE7 but only when it has become more stable and ALL the glitches have been ironed out.
