Used iPod

wondering if i should buy a used 40 gig ipod from a friend. new ones sell for $400, and he's selling it for $200...any advice/suggestions would be AWESOME.

Personally, i dont like ipods because they're short on features and battery life, but if you like them, then you should probably find out more about the seller and ipod, and if you still like it, its a good price, so buy it.
